Not art related, but I don't care

"This news is from November, but I just remembered that this is 2010 (otherwise known as the year of the Daria DVD release) and went looking for updates. Anyway, someone talked to MTV executives and here is the information they shared. According to Kara: It will be a complete series release, including “Is It Fall Yet?” and “Is It College Yet?”. Extras: They are looking at the “Sarcastathons” and the specials were mentioned, and it looks as though they are going through any and all footage to find superfluous Daria appearances (like on TV talk shows). The commercial bumpers will be preserved, and in their rightful places. The episodes will be from the original masters, so no weird cuts. As expected, most of the music will be replaced. The money was not there to attain the rights for DVD. However, some of the replacement music will be covers, and the rest will be replaced by music that is substantially similar. Real music, not muzak. The DVDs could come out as early as Spring 2010. I’m going to play it conservative and still claim that they won’t be available until late 2010. For outside of the United States, it will be closer to 2011. The price will be very reasonable."

Hooooly crap. Finally. Between this, the third Gorillaz album,(Plastic Beach) the Kindgom Hearts prequel on PSP,(Birth By Sleep) and MegaMan 10, 2010 is looking to be an awesome year to be a consumer whore, and not such an awesome year for my wallet.

Go dorkdum.

Something quick

Did this the other night out of a spur of doodling:

So...

I've been out of the art loop lately. I plan on doing some photoshop exercises over break. Right now I'm trying to focus on my animation finals. And yes, I have actually animated some things. Blogger is just being a big pile of poo and taking forever whenever I try and upload any of the quicktime files and then crashing. Seriously guys? I'm thinking of ditching the blogger format for something that lets me upload pics and videos much easier. Either I'm doing something wrong or I can do better.

Couple more real quick

Hey all.

Haven't touched this thing in a while but thought I'd post up some (somewhat) new stuff quickly.

Quick doodles on the T.

Sketch of Adrian.

Character done entirely from my head. WIP obviously.

Sketch of my dad done May of 2008.

And one done this past July.

Oh hey. I think I might've gotten better at this whole art thing.

I'm also working on a portrait of Amanda and wiggling through the nitty gritty of photoshop's ways trying to do some digital work. Finished pieces to come! Maybe some animations soon too, the ones I'm doing now are pretty basic exercises so I'm gonna hold on until I do some noteworthy ones.

I've had this saved for a while, but I figured I should share it with everyone.

Massive Summer Sketch Dump

All I do are sketches these days so no recent finished pieces on here yet. (soon!) But here's most of the stuff I've been doing for the past 2 1/2 months:

Working on bridging the gap.

Some babes. Photo refs.

Dave and Amanda, the only people who can stay still when I draw them.

1st sketch session. Mishka, Allan, and Andrew. Just realized Mishka's ear should be lower. :/

Steffers and Amy.

My peppers, his shoes, and Andrea with no eyes! Also some other folks.

Skull at the taxidermy museum. Trying to get more comfortable with colored pencils.

Gestural sketches of Caitlin's finches and Amy with a cock. Had trouble positioning Andrew's head there.

Allan and Andrew. I keep making ears slightly too high or low on people.

Mike looks like Mike. Cole doesn't look like anyone. I swear I can't draw Cole for the life of me.

Friend of my cousins.

DORK.

A sifaka, a kind of monkey from the taxidermy museum.

Someone's foot!

Line work from the philippine eagle photo that I'll probably never finish and more bridging the gap. Face on the right side done with no reference.

Dave, Anthony, Caitlin, and sides of my face.

Finally a sketch from Monday night of Amy.

Posting pics on here is a HUGE pain in the ass. Think I might abandon the blogger scene soon
for a more practical updating journal.
